Adding Pictures and Announcements to SugarWod
Identify birthdays and anniversaries for the month. Write them both down so you can refer to them in later steps.
Your main source of pictures is Flickr.
Select a picture for each birthday and anniversary. Sometimes there are multiple events on the same day. Prioritize birthdays over anniversaries. You can probably make a single image out of two to get them both on SugarWod. Greg can do this for you if need be.
Select enough pictures for the timeframe you are working on. That might be a month or a week or whatever. Be sure to include pictures that feature dogs, kids and funny events. Also include both shots of individuals and groups too.
If you are doing a lot of pictures you might consider naming them after the subject of the picture. This can make finding the birthday/anniversary pictures much easier.
Pictures are usually chropped by SugarWod. Most of the time this works pretty good but if a picture is too wide it can be awful. You can in effect chrop it yourself by making a screenshot. To do this make the picture big enough on your screen so you can see it all then hold down these keys until your pointer changes, Command Shift 4, your pointer will change and you select the part of the picture you want. Your system will then save it to your desktop with a screenshot name. You can put this up on SugarWod. Assuming you pick the part of the picture you want this works every time.
Make a point to include new people so everyone can get to know them.
Of course PRs and other notable events ought to be celebrated.
Reminders of time-sensitive events are good to like shirt deadlines and other deadlines.
Announcements and pictures can be changed at any time.
