Simply put, CrossFit Tallahassee’s mission is to help, “Create lifelong sustainable fitness in our members.” After spending time in our facility and with our team we want our members to walk out of our doors after a workout and feel like they are better version of themselves. It isn’t the scientific sum of calories, workouts and weight that keeps our members returning. It is not the cutting edge equipment and technology. It is the people that count. Our team cares about guiding and encouraging each and every member to obtain the goals they seek for themselves. Our members’ goals are specific and if we can assist in that journey to realizing their aspirations then we have truly helped them change their life.

Crossfit Tally has been the single most beneficial workout I have ever experienced. Greg and Teresa really do a great job off the bat letting you know what crossfit is all about and what we can expect to get out of joining their gym. They are very confident that they system they have works, and after training with them for a while, I have no reason to believe otherwise. The whole reason I decided to give it a try is because I needed something to get me ready for The Basic School with the Marine Corps. A year of being apart from the Marines while finishing college was not good for me physically

I have always been envious of people that had the motivation to go to the gym consistently.  I am not a “gym person” and never will be.  Then in the spring of 2010 I heard about CFTally from my friend Ashleigh who wanted me to try it with her.  I was 2 months away from going on a cruise & started CF for fun, thinking I would just tone up for the cruise & later forget about it.  Well it turned out that we both became addicts in less than a week.  CFTally is not just any gym, it becomes a part of your life, like brushing your teeth every day.  So if you’re not a “gym person” but would like to become more physically active, I always tell people, “give it a week & you will be hooked”! 🙂

For my last semester of college I was looking for one last new thing to try.  An ad for CrossFit came up on my Instagram one day in January and I thought to myself "why not?"  So I gave Crossfit Tallahassee a call and Coach Greg set me up immediately with their app which allows athletes to track and analyze their stats. A few days later I sat through the intro to CrossFit class and that is where I realized that Crossfit was perfect for me. CrossFit is about fitness, not aesthetics  (even though aesthetics do come). After working with the trainer Coach Greg for roughly four months, I lost 20lbs and gained a tremendous amount of self confidence.

I am not an elite athlete, and it's unlikely that I will ever be one. However, I'm a better athlete than I was 6 months ago when I started at CFTally, and I plan to be a better athlete 6 months from now.....and thereafter. So why does a person with seemingly modest fitness aspirations join Crossfit?  The answer is because I want to manage aging as proactively as possible, and at 52, I only need to prove it to myself that I can.  And if I can do Crossfit, lots of other people can too
