For years I joined and quit gyms, never able to find the drive or passion to keep myself going. In October 2016, I tried CrossFit Tallahassee despite being nervous about its “tough as nails” reputation. I had never thought of trying it before, and quite honestly I used to think people that worked out this way were crazy; but I went once and have been returning ever since!
Owners and coaches Greg and Teresa make this gym/box the only one that I have ever looked forward to attending. They modify workouts specifically to your ability and take the time to teach you proper movements and form. Coach Greg taught me more about nutrition in one month than I thought I knew in my twenty-two years of eating! The coaches keep you motivated, keep you smiling, and keep you sweating! The workouts are hard, but they’re possible!
I started through the New You Challenge – a 6 week women’s only program – and by the second class I knew that I wanted to continue after the six weeks were over. Starting regular classes was exciting and the members welcomed me into their positive community with open arms. The WODs keep working out interesting, and strengthen you both physically and mentally.
The facility is clean, the workouts are challenging, and the possibilities for success are limitless. CrossFit Tallahassee has become a home away from home, and I look forward to crushing more PR’s in the future with the support and motivation of the people around me. CrossFit is something I plan to continue for the rest of my life!
